Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership & Patient Care

  • Oversee daily nursing activities in inpatient and outpatient units.
  • Conduct patient assessments, monitor vitals, evaluate clinical progress, and guide junior staff.
  • Manage medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, and nursing procedures as per protocol.
  • Provide advanced support during rounds, procedures, and emergency situations.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of treatment charts, nursing notes, and progress records.

Team Management & Supervision

  • Supervise Junior Nursing Staff, allocate duties, and ensure compliance with care standards.
  • Conduct on-job training for junior staff and nursing assistants.
  • Ensure adherence to discipline, ethical practices, and hospital protocols.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for resolving patient-related or workflow issues.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain strict infection control practices and patient safety standards.
  • Ensure protocol-aligned nursing operations, audits, and documentation readiness.
  • Support incident reporting, root-cause analysis, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Ensure proper management of equipment, ward supplies, and sterile items.

Patient & Caregiver Communication

  • Educate patients and family members on treatment plans, recovery processes, and hygiene practices.
  • Provide psychological support and maintain a compassionate environment.

Qualification & Eligibility

  • GNM / B.Sc Nursing / M.Sc Nursing
  • Kerala Nursing Council Registration – Mandatory
  • Minimum 5–10 years of clinical experience (Rehabilitation / Orthopaedic / Neuro preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of patient care protocols, nursing standards, and emergency response
