The Senior Steward is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the stewarding team to ensure the kitchen and service areas are clean, organized, and well-maintained. The role involves maintaining hygiene standards, managing inventory of cleaning supplies, and supporting smooth kitchen and restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily stewarding operations and assign duties to stewards.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen utensils, equipment, and work areas as per hygiene standards.
  • Oversee proper garbage disposal and waste management.
  • Monitor the handling, storage, and distribution of kitchen equipment and supplies.
  • Train and guide new stewards on cleaning procedures, safety practices, and hygiene standards.
  • Coordinate with the Chef and F&B team to ensure timely support during peak operations.
  • Report any maintenance issues or equipment damages promptly.
  • Support in setting up and cleaning up during banquets, functions, or special events.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in kitchen stewarding, preferably in a hotel or restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment handling, and hygiene standards.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Basic communication and coordination abilities.
  • Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
