Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of a stock control strategy tailored to retail store operations.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels across stores and warehouses to ensure optimal stock availability.
  • Analyze stock movement, sell-through, and inventory turnover to support informed decision-making.
  • Identify and investigate stock discrepancies, shrinkage, and variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Work closely with store teams to implement best practices in stock handling, counting, and replenishment.
  • Lead and support periodic stock counts, cycle counts, and audits across retail locations.
  • Provide training and guidance to store teams on stock control procedures and system usage.
  • Prepare and present inventory reports, KPIs, and insights to management.
  • Collaborate with merchandising, supply chain, and operations teams to align stock strategies with sales plans.
  • Ensure accurate stock data within ERP systems and adherence to inventory control policies.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Stock Controller or Senior Stock Controller, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Strong understanding of retail inventory management and stock control best practices.
  • Experience developing or supporting inventory strategies across multiple stores.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to interpret stock KPIs.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems and inventory management tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple priorities.
