Senior Store Supervisor

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Store Supervisor to oversee and manage construction and MEP project stores operations. The ideal candidate should have strong experience handling large-scale store operations, managing manpower of up to 70 personnel, and ensuring efficient inventory control, material handling, and coordination with project teams.

The candidate must possess hands-on experience in construction site stores and MEP project materials management, with the ability to maintain smooth store operations while ensuring compliance with company procedures and project requirements.


Key Responsibilities

Store Operations Management

  • Supervise daily operations of construction and MEP project stores.
  • Manage receiving, storage, issuance, and dispatch of materials and equipment.
  • Ensure proper stock arrangement, labeling, and storage practices.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment requirements with procurement teams.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper documentation of all store transactions.

Inventory & Material Control

  • Conduct regular stock verification, cycle counts, and physical inventory audits.
  • Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and excess inventory.
  • Ensure timely issuance of materials to site teams as per approved requests.
  • Coordinate with procurement and project departments to avoid material shortages.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy in ERP/store management systems.

Team Management

  • Lead and supervise a large workforce of storekeepers, helpers, forklift operators, and logistics staff (up to 70 personnel).
  • Allocate duties and monitor team performance.
  • Train and guide store staff on operational procedures, safety, and inventory practices.
  • Ensure discipline, productivity, and compliance with company policies.

Coordination & Compliance

  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and logistics departments.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards and proper material handling procedures.
  • Maintain housekeeping and safety standards within store areas.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and operational reports.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain all store-related documentation including GRNs, delivery notes, issue vouchers, and stock reports.
  • Generate inventory reports and submit updates to management.
  • Assist during internal and external audits.


Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.


Experience

  • Minimum 8–12 years of experience in store/warehouse operations within the Construction and MEP industry .
  • Proven experience managing large-scale project stores.
  • Experience supervising and managing teams of 50–70 personnel .
  • Strong knowledge of construction and MEP materials.


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent inventory control and warehouse management knowledge.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar inventory software.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.


Preferred Qualifications

  • GCC/UAE construction project experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification or warehouse safety training is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, MEP components, and site logistics.
