Senior Structural Engineer

As a Senior Structural Engineer you will lead the structural design and execution of complex projects, coordinating effectively with architects, MEP engineers, and consultant to ensure seamless integration of structural systems. This role involves providing expert technical guidance during design and construction, conducting detailed site inspections, and resolving on-site issues with cost-effective solutions. The engineer will maintain comprehensive project documentation, drive value engineering initiatives, and ensure compliance with international standards and project specifications.

Responsibilities include

• Effectively coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of structural elements within overall project designs, enhancing project efficiency.
• Possess practical knowledge of temporary structure design and implementation.
• Provide expert technical guidance during construction, conducting thorough site inspections to verify compliance with design specifications and ensuring quality of materials and workmanship.
• Lead the resolution of technical issues arising during construction, delivering cost-effective, timely solutions while adhering to project schedules and budgets.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical reports, structural drawings, design calculations, and client communications, ensuring transparency and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify potential cost savings and value engineering (VE) opportunities.

Here's what you'll need

• Minimum of 7-15 years of experience in design consultancy field.
• Skilled in using AutoCAD, ETABS, STAAD Pro, and SAP2000 for structural design and analysis.
• Strong understanding of Dubai Building Code, ACI, AISC, and ASCE standards.
• Experienced in preparing Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) and supervising structural draftsmen.
• Capable of reviewing subcontractor submissions related to formwork, steel structures, shoring, dewatering, and related activities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
