We are seeking to appoint a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead and manage complex construction projects within Qatar. The successful candidate will assume full technical and contractual responsibility for assigned projects, ensuring delivery in accordance with approved budgets, programme schedules, QHSE standards and QCS 2014 requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume complete ownership of structural works in accordance with contractual obligations and approved budgets.
- Plan, organise, schedule and control construction activities to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Coordinate effectively with the General Manager, Contract Manager, Site Engineers, subcontractors, consultants and relevant Authorities.
- Prepare and manage project implementation schedules, risk registers, financial forecasts and detailed progress reports.
- Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, material submissions and inspection documentation.
- Lead procurement processes, contract administration and change control procedures.
- Oversee MEP coordination, testing, commissioning and final approvals with Authorities.
- Monitor health and safety compliance and ensure adherence to all applicable standards and regulations.
- Attend and lead project meetings with clients, consultants and contractors.
Qualifications and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered status through a recognised professional institution (preferred).
- MMUP Grade A certification (mandatory).
- PMP certification (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum 15 years’ experience within the construction industry.
- At least 7 years in a Project Management capacity.
- Minimum 10 years’ construction experience within Qatar (mandatory)
- Demonstrable knowledge of international construction practices and standards.
