Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Structural Engineer to join our team! The Senior Structural Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design, analysis, and execution of civil and structural engineering projects. This role requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and a collaborative approach to ensure the successful delivery of projects within scope, budget, and schedule. The ideal candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, interface with clients, and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead and manage civil and structural engineering projects from conceptual design to final implementation.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.

• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to meet project requirements.

• Perform structural analyses and design for steel, concrete, and other construction materials using advanced engineering software.

• Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.

• Ensure designs comply with local, national, and international codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, Eurocodes).

• Conduct design reviews, value engineering, and risk assessments.

• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

• Implement quality control measures to maintain the integrity of designs and deliverables.

• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other disciplines to resolve technical issues and provide solutions.

• Prepare and present project updates, reports, and technical documentation to stakeholders.

• Foster collaboration within the engineering team and across departments.

• Oversee and provide support during the construction phase, including site visits, inspections, and addressing design-related queries.

• Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and recommend corrective actions.

• Identify and implement innovative solutions and best practices in engineering design and construction.

• Stay updated on emerging trends, materials, and technologies in civil and structural engineering.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural.

• 15 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, including leadership roles.

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.

• Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Leadership and team management.

• Analytical and detail-oriented mindset.

• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

• Adaptability to dynamic project environments.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

• Experience in Hospitality or large projects is strongly preferred due to their specialized and complex nature.
