Senior Structural Engineer- Replacment Task - immediately

Job Summary:

Sr. Structural Engineer is concerned with delivering the intended project objectives or scope related to structural supervision by ensuring application of relevant codes, standards, and best practice while coordinating with other disciplines to deliver an efficient construction process.

Duties & Responsibilities, (include but not limited to):

  • Analyze configurations of the basic structural components of a building or other structure to ensure they are accurate and feasible.
  • Supervise and maintain construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner.
  • Conduct on site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other)
  • Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications
  • Perform complex structural analysis using engineering software to ensure designs meet building codes and safety standards
  • Develop and implement structural systems using materials like steel, concrete and wood
  • Assess potential risks, materials and costs.
  • Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies
  • Monitor progress and compile reports in project status
  • Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials
  • Attend & Lead project review meetings to evaluate progress of on-going construction or maintenance activities.
  • Liaise with Project Manager to understand the implications of their design/construction of their project in relation to maintenance and on-going operation.
  • Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.
  • Report technically and financially regarding planning and overall progress of approved plans.
  • Evaluate the issues raised by the Jr. Engineers & provide solutions
  • Review structural analysis to ensure designs meet the project’s specifications and requirements.
  • Develop and implement steel and concrete structural systems.
  • Select optimum path for executing particular activities through comparative analysis for alternatives.
  • Ensure the compliance with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc. and delivery of technical files or other technical documentation as required.
  • Choose appropriate materials based on structural specifications
  • Monitor on-site construction processes and supervise construction workers
  • Conduct on site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other)
  • Attend & Lead project review meetings to evaluate progress of on-going construction

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • Minimum15 years of experience
  • PMP Certified
  • VMA Certified (Value Methodology Associate – SAFE international).
  • UPDA Grade A Certified
  • Experience in various scale projects including health care, educational, hotels, administrative, sports, industrial, high-rise buildings and commercial complexes.
  • Experience in almost all structural systems including hollow core slabs, post-tension slabs, precast, steel and traditional concrete structures.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit)
  • Ability to identify and solve complex
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Strong mathematical ability.
