Senior Structural Engineer (Steel Structures Specialist)

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer with expertise in steel structures to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in structural design, analysis, and supervision of steel projects, ensuring compliance with international codes, safety standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the design, analysis, and detailing of steel structures for various projects.
• Review and approve structural drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Conduct site supervision, inspections, and quality control during project execution.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and design teams.
• Ensure compliance with international standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., AISC, BS, Eurocode, local codes).
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
• Prepare and review structural reports, proposals, and design documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve structural issues during construction.
• Monitor project progress, cost, and schedule related to structural works.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• UPDA/MMUP certification (Grade A ).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in structural engineering, with a strong focus on steel structures.
• Proven experience in both design and supervision of large-scale steel projects.
• Strong knowledge of BIM tools, structural software (STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, Tekla, AutoCAD).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Familiarity with Qatar Construction Standards (QCS) is an added advantage.
