JOB SUMMARY
The Part Sales Supervisor will play a key role in driving growth in Canrig’s Aftermarket Parts business and supporting the expansion of our new division focused on third-party re-certification, inspection, and overhauling of Top Drives and related equipment. This role requires a candidate with strong industry knowledge, established vendor and customer relationships, and the ability to convert opportunities into revenue through proactive engagement and solution-oriented sales.
Minimum Qualifications / SKILLS
- 8–10 years of experience in oilfield equipment parts sales.
- Good understanding of drilling equipment components, maintenance cycles, and re-certification requirements.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and driving growth in parts or service business.
- Strong vendor and customer-relationship skills, with excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently with a high level of ownership and accountability.
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience specifically in drilling equipment, top drives, or similar mechanical systems.
- Strong vendor and customer network within the MENA region—especially among drilling contractors, rig OEMs, and service companies.
- Experience in third-party re-certification, inspection, or equipment overhauling.
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES AND AUTHORITIES
- Drive coordination between engineering, operations, and sales teams to align priorities for upgrade kits, NCR resolutions, and major technical modifications.
- Act as escalation point for cross-department issues, resource conflicts, and schedule risks
- Monitor equipment performance KPIs, identify recurring issues, and lead root-cause analysis initiatives with engineering.
- Develop and implement process improvements across parts sales, service quotations, re-certification workflows, and field service operations.
- Establish standardized reporting frameworks for project performance, technician utilization, warranty trends, and operational KPIs.
- Enhance communication channels between commercial, engineering, operations, and supply chain teams.
- Contribute to strategic planning for the Re-Certification & Overhauling Division, including market positioning and capability expansion.
- Identify operational gaps and propose strategic investments (tools, personnel, systems) to strengthen the division’s service capacity.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Drive incremental parts sales through active prospecting, strategic follow-ups, and identifying new opportunities within existing and potential customer accounts.
- Leverage existing industry experience, vendor networks, and customer relationships to accelerate sales pipeline growth.
- Manage RFQs, quotations, order processing, pricing accuracy, and timely delivery coordination.
- Monitor inventory status and collaborate with the warehouse and supply chain to optimize parts availability.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with drilling contractors, service companies, and other key stakeholders.
- Support for Re-Certification & Overhauling Division
- Assist in building and expanding Canrig’s new division dedicated to third-party re-certification, inspection, refurbishment, and overhauling of Capital Equipment (including Top Drives, Catwalks, Wrenches, Drawworks, etc.).
- Coordinate with internal technical teams to align customer requirements with service capabilities.
- Identify customer assets requiring re-certification or overhaul and convert them into service opportunities.
- Assist in preparing scopes of work, technical proposals, and service quotations.
- Track ongoing projects, ensure timely completion, and maintain customer communication throughout the service cycle.
- Maintain sales activity logs, and weekly pipeline forecasts.
- Support continuous process improvements in parts sales workflow and service quotation processes.
- Prepare monthly reports on sales performance, customer interactions, market trends, project performance
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and supply chain to ensure alignment with sales activities.
