Senior Supply Chain Manager

AVASO is seeking a seasoned Senior Manager – Supply Chain Management (SCM) to lead and elevate our global depot operations, with a base in South Africa. This leadership role will oversee strategic warehouse frameworks and logistics operations across EMEA and the USA. The ideal candidate brings a wealth of experience in global supply chain execution, cross-border logistics, IT hardware lifecycle operations, and team leadership. This position will be instrumental in delivering AVASO’s global warehousing and logistics transformation goals through robust planning, compliance, stakeholder management, and performance governance.

This role is pivotal to AVASO’s SCM transformation roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end responsibility for depot readiness, inventory management, and logistics
• operations across UK, Germany, USA, and other global locations.
• Drive strategic initiatives around warehouse automation, technology adoption, and cost
• optimization in supply chain operations.
• Oversee cross-border shipping and ensure full compliance with customs regulations and
• regional import/export standards.
• Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, Field Services, and Regional Operations to align SCM
• capabilities with business growth.
• Ensure SOP-driven execution across all depots, including training, performance tracking, and
• audit readiness.
• Champion continuous improvement across warehouse processes to meet service delivery
• SLAs and customer expectations.
• Lead new depot setups, transitions, and refurbishments in alignment with AVASO’s global
• expansion strategy.
• Act as the senior escalation point for SCM-related issues and participate in executive reviews
• and governance meetings.
• Required Skills & Experience:
• 10–15 years of progressive experience in global supply chain, warehouse, and logistics
• management roles.
• Deep expertise in IT hardware warehousing, staging, inventory control, and dispatch
• operations.
• Proven track record in leading large-scale, multi-country logistics programs and managing
• 3PLs.
• Strong knowledge of customs clearance, export/import procedures, and international trade
• compliance.
• Advanced proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including platforms like
• Zoho, Odoo, or SAP.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive execution in a global, matrixed
• environment.

Preferred:

• Experience leading global SCM transformation or automation projects.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/WMS integrations and reporting automation.
• Familiarity with IT service delivery models and customer-facing warehousing standards
