Key Responsibilities
- Materials Planning: From the given demand plan, develop and manage materials planning strategies to ensure the availability of raw materials and components.
- Capacity Planning: Assess production planning requirements and capacity constraints to meet demand forecasts and minimize bottlenecks, in collaboration with the Manufacturing organization.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Delivery Schedule: Work closely with the Purchasing team to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply chain issues.
- Production Scheduling: Work closely with Manufacturing so production schedules meet customer orders and maintain a balanced workflow.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain processes and performance.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on inventory, production, and supply chain performance metrics.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supply planning or materials planning, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes and principles.
- Proficiency in using supply chain management software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of inventory management techniques and best practices.
- Experience with inventory management and capacity planning methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Good negotiation skills for coordination across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work under pressure.
