Senior Systems Administrator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Systems Administrator to oversee and maintain our critical IT infrastructure. This role is central to ensuring the optimal performance, security, and high availability of our corporate systems, databases, and business operations in compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our systems—from installation and configuration to maintenance, troubleshooting, and strategic upgrades. You will ensure business continuity through effective data management, replication, backup, and recovery strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Systems & Infrastructure Administration:

  • Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot corporate systems including servers, associated hardware, software, and networking components.
  • Manage and ensure the operation of branch-level systems (Time & Attendance, Access Control, CCTV/IP Surveillance, Telephony, Video Conferencing).
  • Maintain Microsoft Active Directory, group policies, and server objects.
  • Oversee data center operations, including UPS/environmental systems and documentation.
  • Perform system installations, upgrades, and routine maintenance.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, documenting problems and solutions.
  • Develop and maintain IT infrastructure documentation and technical specifications for projects.
  • Implement and manage capacity planning, storage strategies, and system performance tuning.
  • Develop and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead strategic projects to upgrade and enhance the company's IT infrastructure.

Database Administration:

  • Design, implement, and maintain high-availability database systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server) to meet business needs.
  • Ensure database security, performance, and reliability through proactive monitoring, patching, and optimization.
  • Define and manage database access controls and data distribution.
  • Implement and manage high-speed transaction recovery, backups, and data replication.
  • Establish and enforce database policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Provide data management support and training to users.

Data Protection & Compliance:

  • Execute regular backup operations and manage disaster recovery/failover procedures.
  • Ensure data security, integrity, and privacy in compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Contribute to business continuity planning.

Qualifications & Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related IT field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in systems and database administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Dell VxRail, VMware (vSphere, vCenter, vSAN), and data replication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Administration and High Availability configurations.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V and Failover Clustering.
  • Experience with backup solutions (e.g., Veritas Backup Exec, Avamar).
  • Strong background in managing Active Directory and Windows Server environments.
  • Proven experience leading or working within multi-specialized IT teams (support, network, security).
  • Excellent problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and time-management skills.
  • Native Arabic with Strong written communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment in the financial sector is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ﷼18,000.00 - ﷼25,000.00 per month
