Job Description
A rapidly expanding CPA firm in New York seeks someone who is highly organized, efficient, confidential, reliable, self-motivated, high attention to detail, and can hit the ground running.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare individual and business returns (1065, 1120-S) including multi-state returns (NY, NJ, CA, PA are the primary states)
- Preparation of tax projections and estimates.
- Assist clients with tax notices that will require a written response and/or phone call with the tax agency on behalf of the client.
- Respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies
- Perform tax research, staying up to date on changes
- Able to assist clients with their inquires regarding their tax return
- Able to go over in detail a client's tax return
Preferred Qualifications and skills
- CPA license strongly preferred
- Tax preparation experience (Minimum 3 years, though 5+ years is preferred)
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel and word.
- Experience with bookkeeping software, including QuickBooks
- Positive, proactive, and driven to succeed
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Ability to handle high confidentiality
- Ability to work in a team environment, alone, and meet timelines
- Position requires a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and professionalism
- Knowledge of CCH Engagement, CCH pFX <-- HUGE HUGE PLUS
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
