Senior Tax Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant (Part-time/ Seasonal) to join our growing team. This position is closely related to our Accounting and Tax Practice, focusing on small businesses and mid-sized companies across a range of industries, such as Real Estate, Construction, E-Commerce, Healthcare, Law Firms, and other relevant industries.

Essential Functions and Primary Responsibilities

A typical day as a Senior Tax Accountant might include:

• Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and allocations.
• Prepare and/or review tax returns for S Corporation, Partnership, or individuals, including federal, foreign, state, and local tax returns.
• Prepare and review monthly financial transactions.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, balance sheet, and P&L.
• Review and verify complex account balances, ensuring financial integrity, and assisting with the month-end closing process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA or CPA candidate preferred).
• 3–5 years of progressive tax and accounting experience.
• 3–5 years of experience with accounting and tax software, including but not limited to Drake Tax, QuickBooks Online, or similar.
• 3–5 years of experience working with construction, real estate, and other small businesses.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and clients.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal, Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $55.00 per hour
