Kevin Gaines, CPA, LLC is a boutique tax accounting and consulting firm in Maitland focused on serving business and individual clients with both U.S. and International tax matters. We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to assist our growing team in servicing clients located around the world. This position will work directly with the owner and tax director as well as have direct contact with clients.

Job Description

• Preparation of complex individual and business tax returns ·
• Assist in preparation of quarterly and year-end estimates ·
• Review of individual and business tax returns ·
• Preparation/review of bookkeeping and payroll processing ·
• Translating foreign account statements and financial statements into USD
• Assist with tax research on technical tax issues ·
• Draft correspondence with IRS and State tax authorities ·
• Review client’s financial statements and prepare adjusting entries to complete business tax returns

Qualifications

• 3 plus years of public accounting tax experience with an emphasis on high-net worth individuals and small businesses ·
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting with Master’s degree in taxation preferred
• CPA or EA is preferred or on track to obtain license ·
• Proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft applications and Adobe ·
• Strong organization, client service and communication skills ·
• Must have the ability to multitask and work independently ·
• Experience with CCH Axcess Tax, Profx, or UltraTax preferred
• International tax experience is a plus
