Senior Tax Specialist

We are a growing tax and accounting firm seeking an experienced CPA or senior-level tax professional to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong experience with corporate taxation, complex individual returns, and client advisory services.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with clients, solving complex tax issues, and operating in a fast-paced but professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex individual tax returns (1040)
• Prepare and review business returns including:
• S-Corporations (1120-S)
• Partnerships (1065)
• Corporations (1120)
• Handle multi-entity and high-income client tax situations
• Perform tax planning and advisory work
• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax strategy and compliance
• Review financials and reconcile bookkeeping records
• Assist with workflow management and deadline tracking
• Support junior staff and seasonal preparers as needed

Qualifications

• Active CPA license preferred (EA considered with strong experience)
• 5+ years of public accounting or tax firm experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of corporate and pass-through taxation
• Experience with complex personal tax returns
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Desktop
• Experience with TaxSlayer Pro preferred
• Experience with TaxDome preferred
• Strong communication and client management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines during tax season
