Job description

Clarivate is looking for a highly motivated Senior Team Lead to join a research team dedicated to the U.S. provider industry. This role will be expected to contribute to custom and syndicated market research with a particular focus on U.S. healthcare revenue cycle, care quality, and/or supply chain. The role will also be expected to manage a team of experts in these areas by directing and reviewing the team’s work to achieve key targets and objectives. The best suited candidate will have the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and objectively in written and spoken English—as well as possess the meticulous organizational skills and initiative required to support the production of quality deliverables under tight deadlines.

About You

Experience, skills, education, and accomplishments

  • Undergraduate degree is required—preferably in English, communications, journalism, or other related field.
  • Master’s or advanced degree is preferred—including but not limited to a Master of Healthcare Administration degree.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in healthcare, U.S. revenue cycle or a clinical field.
  • Proven work experience as a team leader or supervisor.
  • Strong secondary research skills and ability to do qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Proficient in English language grammar and spelling as well as excellent writing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and multiple projects and priorities with limited oversight.

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Team management – Manage a team of colleagues.
  • Team management – Lead, direct, and review the team’s work to achieve operational or functional targets with measurable contribution towards the achievement of immediate and short-term results for the team and department.
  • Team management – Establish and communicate team goals that support and advance individual, team, and department objectives.
  • Team management – Track metrics or other performance measures to determine analysts’ performance, celebrating strong performance and intervening with poor performance.
  • Team management – In partnership with the manager, train team members on standard operating procedures, key policies, and best practices for secondary and primary research, written analysis, and client support.
  • Primary and Secondary Research - Research growing and dynamic trends within the provider industry, including changing regulatory requirements.
  • Primary and Secondary Research - Conduct polling, surveys, and first-person interviews with hospital leaders and industry experts to report on key findings.
  • Primary and Secondary Research - Conduct secondary research to uncover literature, perspectives, and key insights relevant to the provider-client base and provide authoritative commentary on trends.
  • Written Analysis - Gather, prioritize, and review information to produce qualitative and quantitative analyses for U.S. hospitals and health systems.
  • Written Analysis - Synthesize research and data—interpreting sources accurately and critically—to determine the implications for healthcare providers and the patient experience.
  • Written Analysis - Draft thoughtful, well-organized articles, reports, and presentations, as well as compose deliverables and emails on key industry shifts and regulatory changes.
  • Client Support - Interact regularly with clients to understand their needs, deliver targeted information and solutions, and use feedback to improve research products.
  • Client Support - Conduct custom research on behalf of clients and keep them apprised of progress.

About the team

This is a growing team for the Healthcare Business Insights research team, supporting healthcare leaders at 1,900 hospitals and healthcare systems from the supervisor level to executive level. The team is made up of individuals throughout the U.S. and India.

Hours of Work

This is a permanent position with Clarivate, 9 hours per day including lunch break.
