Senior Team Lead – Medical Coding

Night Shift | 6 PM - 3 am | Monday to Friday | Onsite

We are looking for a highly experienced and result-oriented Senior Team Lead – Medical Coding to manage and oversee the daily operations of the Medical Coding department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading coding teams, ensuring coding accuracy and compliance, monitoring productivity and quality metrics, conducting audits, mentoring team members, and coordinating with management to achieve departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, supervise, and support Medical Coding Team Leads and Coders.
• Ensure accurate assignment of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes in compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Monitor team productivity, quality, and turnaround times to meet operational targets.
• Conduct coding audits, quality reviews, and performance evaluations.
• Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to team members.
• Resolve coding-related issues and implement corrective action plans.
• Prepare and present departmental reports, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with clients, management, and cross-functional teams to ensure service excellence.
• Drive process improvements and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and payer guidelines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 4–6 years of Medical Coding experience, including leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and medical coding guidelines.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple teams and maintain high-quality standards.
• Certification such as CPC, CCS, or equivalent will be preferred.
