About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Hyperion Essbase – Senior Technical Consultant to join our enterprise applications team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle Hyperion EPM and Essbase development, along with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and solution design skills. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, scalable, and high-performing Hyperion solutions for enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Oracle Hyperion Essbase applications, including cube design, automation, and optimization.
• Support and enhance Oracle Hyperion EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) solutions across multiple business units.
• Collaborate with finance and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain calculation scripts, business rules, reports, and integration workflows.
• Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for Hyperion applications.
• Participate in upgrades, migrations, and patching activities for Hyperion environments.
• Ensure proper documentation of configurations, customizations, and system workflows.
• Provide end-user training, support, and knowledge transfer when required.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of overall IT experience with at least 3+ years in Oracle Hyperion Essbase development.
• Hands-on experience in Oracle Hyperion EPM suite (Essbase, Planning, HFM, FDMEE, Smart View).
• Proficiency in Essbase cube design, automation (MaxL scripts), data load rules, and metadata management.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Experience with EPM Automate, ODI, or other ETL tools is preferred.
• Solid background in database management (Oracle, SQL) and scripting languages (Shell/Python).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Oracle Certified Professional – Hyperion Essbase / EPM certification (preferred).
• Experience working in cloud-based Hyperion (Oracle EPM Cloud) environments.
