Job Summary
The Senior Technical Coordinator is responsible for organizing, reviewing, and ensuring the timely submission of technical documentation required for tender preparation and pre-qualification. This role serves as the central point of contact within the technical team and coordinates closely with other departments to meet client specifications and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Coordination & Project Support

Monitor and verify all technical and planning requirements for major projects.

Report significant project delays and progress updates to management.

Track and report design project schedules.

Assist the Tendering Department in preparing technical proposals.

Liaise with consultants/clients to obtain approvals for baseline schedules and manage revisions as needed.

Support project teams in delay analysis and method preparation.

Interpret tender requirements and oversee all engineering aspects, including specifications, drawings, and prequalification documents.

Ensure full compliance with client specifications and tender submission requirements.

Coordinate with internal departments and act as the primary technical liaison.

Maintain accurate records of all communications and ensure timely follow-ups with clients and internal stakeholders.

Oversee subcontractor technical submissions and ensure alignment with procedures and timelines.

Monitor document control processes and ensure adherence to IMS procedures.

Collaborate with MEP, site, QA/QC, safety, logistics, planning, and commercial teams to provide technical support.

Facilitate approvals from relevant authorities.
Tender Management

Ensure tender deliverables are completed within deadlines set by senior management.

Attend technical design clarification and tender meetings; coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and tender team members.

Verify that all received quotations comply with project specifications.

Document tender meeting discussions and initiate action plans within five days or as specified.

Conduct engineering value analysis to enhance proposal quality.

Ensure all tender submissions meet required standards and deadlines.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Experience
-
Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, including:
-
5 years of relevant technical coordination experience.

2 years of experience in the GCC region (preferred).
Technical Skills
-
Advanced proficiency in CAD and other design software.
-
Strong understanding of architectural and engineering principles.
-
In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

ERP experience, preferably SAP, is essential.
