Role Objective
The Senior Technical Engineer will be responsible for bridging the gap between design and execution. You will ensure that all technical submittals, drawings, and site operations align with contract documents while maintaining seamless coordination between consultants, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Review & Quality Control

Design Analysis:
Perform a deep-dive review of
IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings
and contract documents to ensure technical feasibility.

Conflict Resolution:
Identify discrepancies or contradictions within contract documents and prepare formal
RFIs (Request for Information)
to seek clarification.

Drawing Approval:
Review and approve all types of
coordinated shop drawings
across various disciplines to ensure they are ready for site execution.
2. Planning & Progress Tracking

Submittal Management:
Prepare and maintain
E1 (Shop Drawings) and E2 (Materials)
logs and schedules.

Baseline Alignment:
Ensure all technical submittals are synchronized with the project’s baseline program to avoid delays.

Subcontractor Management:
Monitor and follow up on submission dates with subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of technical data.
3. Coordination & Communication

Cross-Disciplinary Integration:
Lead the coordination between
Civil and MEP
technical teams to ensure zero clashes during installation.

Stakeholder Liaison:
Conduct daily follow-ups with the
Consultant
and internal technical teams to keep the project moving.

Reporting:
Provide the Technical Manager with daily updates on activities, progress, and potential bottlenecks.
4. On-Site Technical Support

Problem Solving:
Act as the primary point of contact for resolving complex site issues and technical hurdles as they arise.

Discipline Coordination:
Ensure smooth handovers and interface management between all engineering disciplines on-site.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil.

Experience:
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in technical engineering roles within the construction industry.

Software Proficiency:
Expert knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and Microsoft Office/Project.

Soft Skills:
Strong analytical thinking, leadership presence, and the ability to negotiate with consultants and subcontractors.
