Senior Technical Engineer - Civil

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Technical Engineer with strong experience in high-rise building construction to support technical planning, coordination, and execution of structural and architectural works. The role involves close collaboration with design teams, consultants, and site personnel to ensure the project is delivered with precision, quality, and in compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret structural, architectural, and MEP drawings for high-rise buildings.
• Ensure all technical aspects of construction align with design specifications and local building codes.
• Coordinate and communicate design clarifications and changes with consultants and subcontractors.
• Prepare construction method statements, technical submittals, and shop drawings in coordination with the engineering team.
• Conduct site visits to monitor execution, assess technical compliance, and identify design or implementation issues.
• Support the procurement team with technical evaluation of materials and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to the construction schedule and quality standards.
• Participate in coordination meetings with structural, MEP, and architectural teams.
• Provide technical guidance to site engineers and supervise subcontractors on technical matters.
• Maintain documentation of all engineering and technical processes, revisions, and approvals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• 3–6 years of technical engineering experience, with at least 2 years in high-rise building projects.
• Strong understanding of reinforced concrete structures, post-tensioning, and structural detailing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (optional), and structural analysis software like ETABS or STAAD Pro.
• Familiarity with construction safety protocols, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) standards.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage technical site issues effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on high-rise towers above 20+ stories.
• Knowledge of green building standards (LEED, Estidama, etc.) is an advantage.
• Familiar with international and local codes (ACI, BS, IS, etc.).

Working Conditions:

• Site-based role with some office coordination work.
• May require extended hours based on project demands.
• Regular coordination with multidisciplinary teams and consultants

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED12,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
