Senior Technical Installation Manager - European Windows & Façade Systems

SONO is a premium European-standard glazing and façade company operating in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. We specialise in high-performance aluminium window and door systems, acoustic upgrades, and complex retrofit installations.

We are seeking a European-trained glazing specialist with a minimum of 10 years experience in high-end aluminium systems such as:

• Schüco
• Reynaers
• Alumil

This is a senior leadership role working with our Head of Operations.

You will be a technical authority within the business, ensuring all projects are engineered, quoted, and executed to the highest European standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Final site visits with our sales team
• Final approval of technical quotations
• Authority to reject technically risky or unsuitable projects
• Approve method statements and Statements of Work (SOW)
• Work alongside the sales team to price complex projects accurately
• Attend key client and developer meetings when required

Surveying & Engineering

• Conduct detailed pre-installation site surveys
• Interpret full IFC and architectural drawings
• Prepare BOQs and material breakdowns
• Calculate U-values and acoustic performance
• Assess façade tolerances, structural fixings, and retrofit challenges
• Identify and resolve unforeseen site complications

Supplier & Fabrication Oversight

• Review and approve shop drawings
• Approve fabrication drawings prior to production
• Conduct quality control checks on materials
• Ensure compliance with European system specifications

Installation & Execution

• Lead installation teams and team leaders
• Oversee high-rise and rope-access installations with our Level 3 rope supervisors
• Implement installation SOPs and quality checklists
• Conduct toolbox talks
• Sign off completed installations
• Handle snagging and defect resolution
• Solve site challenges quickly and professionally

Quality & Standards

• Maintain strict European-level installation standards
• Drive technical excellence across all projects
• Ensure projects are delivered efficiently and on time

Growth & Leadership

• Assist HR in interviewing and selecting installers
• Help build structured technical systems as the company scales
• Contribute to the development of multiple installation teams

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in high-end aluminium windows and façade systems
• European-trained (UK, Ireland, Australia preferred)
• Strong fabrication and installation knowledge
• Experience with retrofit and replacement projects
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings
• Commercially aware and capable of protecting project margins
• Calm, solution-oriented, and technically authoritative

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED25,000.00 - AED35,000.00 per month
