Key Responsibilitie
- Design, develop, and maintain applications onTPF and ALCS mainframe environments.
- Work on airline-application modules such asReservations, Ticketing, Inventory, Departure Control Systems (DCS) or other core airline operational systems.
- Analyze system requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and deliver high-quality code.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in TPF-based applications with quick turnaround.
- Optimize existing programs to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Architects, QA teams, and airline operation stakeholders.
- Support production incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and prompt issue resolution.
- Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, code documentation, and system workflows.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
Required Skills Experience
- 4–8 years of experience as aTPF Developer orMainframe ALCS Programmer.
- Strong programming experience in:
- TPF/TPFDF
- Assembler (IBM 370/390)
- ALCS programming
- Good understanding ofairline domain processes, including one or more of the following:
- Reservations
- Ticketing
- Inventory
- Schedules
- DCS (Departure Control System)
- Loyalty / Frequent Flyer modules (preferred)
- Experience in performance tuning and debugging in TPF/ALCS environments.
- Familiarity with batch and real-time transaction processing on mainframe systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
