Responsibilities/Qualifications
The Senior Technical Project Manager will lead the coordinated rollout of NG Nexus and support i3 related initiatives across Engineering and Tech Ops. This role is critical in providing end-to-end visibility, governance, and execution oversight across multiple interdependent projects. The ideal candidate will ensure alignment, transparency, and accountability while driving delivery of mission-critical public safety technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of NG Nexus rollout initiatives and i3 projects across Engineering and Tech Ops

Establish and maintain centralized project visibility, including status reporting, risk tracking, and dependency management across all workstreams

Provide governance and oversight to ensure projects are aligned with strategic objectives, timelines, and operational readiness requirements

Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and alignment across engineering, tech ops, product, and external partners

Identify, track, and mitigate risks and blockers, proactively driving resolution to maintain project momentum

Develop and manage integrated project plans, including milestones, deliverables, resource planning, and deployment schedules

Facilitate regular stakeholder updates, executive reporting, and cross-team syncs to ensure transparency and informed decision-making

Support i3 compliance and implementation efforts, ensuring requirements are understood, tracked, and delivered across teams

Oversee deployment readiness activities, including system integration, testing coordination, and operational handoffs

Drive continuous improvement in project execution, coordination, and reporting processes

Participate in Agile and SAFe ceremonies (e.g., PI Planning) as needed to ensure alignment across teams and initiatives
Education:
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred

Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements

PMP, CSM or SAFe certification required
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in technical project or program management, preferably leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives

Proven experience managing complex rollouts or multi-workstream programs, ideally in public safety technology, telecommunications, or mission-critical environments

Understanding of i3 standards and next-generation 911 (NG911) frameworks is highly preferred

Demonstrated ability to provide program-level oversight, coordination, and executive-level reporting

Experience working across Engineering, Tech Ops, and external stakeholders in highly integrated environments

Solid understanding of system deployments, integrations, and cloud-based infrastructure

Strong risk management, dependency tracking, and stakeholder communication skills

Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Rally)

Agile/SAFe experience preferred, with the ability to operate in both Agile and structured program environments

The starting salary is anticipated between $110,000 and $130,000 and will be commensurate with experience.
