Role Purpose
To perform diagnostic electrical and electronic repairs on customer vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools, working on a wide range of multi-brand models in line with manufacturer guidelines

Strategic Implementation
Perform diagnostic electrical and electronic subsystem repairs as per the scope of work using advanced diagnostic tools and standard service procedures/wiring diagrams
Record additional repairs and recommendations using the E-estimate digital app and update the Team Leader accordinglyReceive repair orders from the Team Leader and understand the scope of work to be carried outReview vehicle service history and check for any applicable recall campaignsPerform authorised repairs as agreed and inform the Team Leader of any further observationsPerform software updates on subsystems as per manufacturer recommendationsDemonstrate manual dexterity, technical knowledge, mechanical ability and advanced computer skillsTake ownership of all aspects of your role, working without close supervision and demonstrating effective self-managementFollow quality control inspection systems to prevent or correct faulty workmanship below standardStand in for the Team Leader and support operations as and when requiredHandle and resolve critical customer complaints, escalating to the Team Leader if further assistance is neededProvide mentoring, coaching and on-the-job training to newly joined TechniciansAssist the Team Leader with day-to-day activities as required

Policies, Procedures and Corporate Governance
For warranty repairs, follow business-standard guidelines and tag replaced parts with warranty tags before handing them over to the centralised warranty store
Perform recall campaigns (eg airbag replacement) in line with standard guidelinesPerform diagnosis and repairs on air-conditioning systems as per standard service proceduresEnsure full compliance with F1 standards and guidelinesStrictly follow HSE protocols and use appropriate safety gear at all times (personal safety, equipment safety, and customer vehicle safety)Ensure compliance with Nissan Dealer Standards and process guidelines
Educational Qualifications
- 2-year ITI (Industrial Training Institute NCVT Certificate) or 3-year Diploma in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Physical fitness to carry out repairs (manual dexterity)
Strong computer skills
Work Experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience in an automotive dealership, including at least 2 years as an Electrician
