With demand growing at RAYNE, we are seeking several senior technology lawyers who enjoy variety and autonomy, and who want to work closely with businesses navigating growth, transformation and change on an interim basis.


As a Consultant at RAYNE , you will join our team and be seconded into client organisations, working as a true extension of their in-house teams. Secondments vary in length and scope and may span different sectors and legal disciplines, while you remain fully supported by the RAYNE team throughout. Our model is built on trust, flexibility, and long-term relationships with both our clients and our consultants.


We are particularly interested in lawyers with strong experience in TMT, including:


  • Draft, review and negotiate complex technology and digital contracts , including SaaS, software licensing, cloud, outsourcing and managed services agreements.
  • Advise on data protection, privacy and cyber security matters, including data processing, cross-border transfers and incident response.
  • Provide legal support for digital products, platforms, AI and emerging technologies , enabling compliant innovation and product launches.
  • Partner closely with commercial, product, IT and procurement teams to deliver pragmatic, business-focused legal advice .
  • Monitor and advise on technology-related regulatory developments , identifying and mitigating legal and operational risk.
  • Manage external counsel and contribute to governance, compliance frameworks and internal legal processes .


Successful candidates will:

  • Be admitted in a common law or other recognised international jurisdiction.
  • Typically have 8+ years’ PQE (flexible depending on experience and role).
  • Have experience gained in private practice and in-house.
  • Be adaptable, pragmatic, and comfortable working autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Have a consultant mindset and enjoy working closely with the business.

Examples of potential secondements;

6–12 months – Global SaaS / AI-enabled platform

Embedded within a fast-scaling technology business, supporting negotiation of SaaS, cloud, data-processing and enterprise customer agreements, advising on AI governance, data protection and product risk, and partnering with product and engineering teams on new feature launches.


4–6 months – Consumer technology & digital marketplace

Supporting the in-house legal function on high-volume commercial contracts, platform terms, vendor and integration agreements, advising on consumer law, privacy and intermediary liability, and assisting with regulatory change management across multiple markets.


6 months – Media, OTT or digital content platform

Providing legal support across technology, content and distribution operations, including drafting and negotiating technology and licensing agreements, advising on data, IP and digital rights, and supporting the rollout of new digital products and partnerships.
