Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Telecommunication Design Engineer to join our team in Qatar. The role involves leading the design and coordination of ICT/ELV systems for commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects. Candidates must be familiar with Qatar authority requirements, including Ooredoo, QCD, Ashghal, and QCS standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of telecom & ELV systems: structured cabling, CCTV, access control, fire alarm, PA, SMATV/IPTV, data networks, and fiber optics.
• Prepare design drawings, riser diagrams, system layouts, and technical specifications.
• Develop BOQs, material specifications, and design reports.
• Ensure compliance with QCS, Ooredoo standards, Civil Defense, and international codes (TIA/EIA, NFPA).
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and RFIs.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP teams, ICT consultants, and contractors.
• Conduct site surveys and support installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Participate in client meetings and authority approvals.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and ensure quality of deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communication, or Telecommunication Engineering.
• 7–12 years of experience in ICT/telecommunication/ELV design.
• GCC or Qatar experience preferred.
• Strong AutoCAD skills; Revit is an advantage.
• Knowledge of TIA/EIA, NFPA, low-voltage standards, and Ooredoo guidelines.
• UPDA/MMUP certification is an advantage.
