Senior Test Analyst

Position Description & Qualifications

Serco has an immediate need for an experienced Test Analyst with shipbuilding, new construction shipyard Test & Evaluation (T&E) background to support the Frigate Program in the management and execution of new construction testing, certification, trials, and delivery efforts. This position offers a unique opportunity to support a high visibility Navy shipbuilding program and directly influence the successful test, trial, and delivery of new surface combatants to the Fleet.

Serco supports the U.S. Navy as a prime contractor providing engineering, production, test, and programmatic support across multiple shipbuilding programs. In this role, you will work alongside a skilled team of analysts, engineers, and support personnel embedded with the Program Office, SUPSHIP, and shipyard stakeholders to ensure ships are tested, certified, and delivered in accordance with contractual and Navy requirements.

As a Senior Test Analyst, you will provide direct support to the Frigate Program, helping manage and direct shipyard testing activities while assessing the material readiness of ships to conduct trials.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Support the Frigate Program Office in the planning, management, and oversight of shipyard testing, certification, trials, and delivery efforts for new construction vessels.
  • Support TEMP-related planning and execution of test events, as applicable.
  • Ensure test planning and execution are compliant with contractual requirements, approved test procedures, and Navy policies.
  • Assess, track, and report material readiness in preparation for Trials.
  • Draft, review, evaluate and update test requirements, test procedures, certifications, and CDRLs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and technical adequacy.
  • Monitor and recommend updates to the test program based on configuration changes, ECPs, SHIPALTs, Combat Systems hardware/software changes, and engineering updates to ensure required changes are incorporated into the test program.
  • Identify testing risks, readiness shortfalls, and schedule impacts; develop recommendations and courses of action for Government leadership.
  • Interface directly, advise, and collaborate with numerous stakeholders, including but not limited to, shipbuilder test and production teams, SUPSHIP representatives, PARMs and IWS counterparts, and other support contractors.
  • Participate in shipchecks, Test Readiness Reviews, trials, and waterfront support activities as required.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings, technical correspondence, and status reports for senior Navy and program leadership.
  • Support program reviews, meetings, and integrated product teams as needed.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have:

  • Ability to obtain an Active DOD Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical field, or equivalent experience and 8 years of experience (Naval Shipboard Test & Evaluation, shipyard testing, trials, or new construction delivery).
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Navy shipbuilding programs, shipyard test environments, or Program Offices, with some focus on Surface Combatants.
  • Experience interfacing with Program Offices, SUPSHIP, shipyards, and contractors.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical writing and briefing development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high visibility environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, as required.
  • Confident, self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • 15 years of experience serving on or supporting the construction of surface combatant ships.
  • Developing and executing a Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP).
  • 4 years of experience as an operator, technician, or test engineering for combat systems equipment.
