Senior Test Engineer – Saudi Payments (Cortex Platform)

Position Title: Senior Test Engineer

Location: Riyadh

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Engineer with strong expertise in Saudi Payments systems and hands-on experience working on the Cortex platform (Emcredit/Emcrey product) . The ideal candidate will possess deep functional knowledge of SADAD, SARIE, MADA, IPI, SWIFT, and Bill Payment domains. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can lead test cycles, ensure adherence to quality standards, manage documentation, and provide structured reporting to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Testing & Quality Assurance

• Develop, execute, and maintain functional, integration, and regression test cases for Saudi Payments modules (SADAD, SARIE, MADA, IPI, SWIFT, Bill Payments).
• Ensure successful test case execution following the organization’s quality standards and procedures.
• Identify, log, and track defects through resolution using industry‑standard tools.
• Perform end-to-end testing on the Cortex platform ensuring compliant behavior across all payment channels.
• Validate system enhancements, configuration changes, and production fixes.

2. Domain Expertise:

• Apply deep hands-on knowledge of Saudi Payments ecosystems , including:
• SADAD (Bill Payments)
• SARIE (RTGS)
• MADA (Card Payments Switch)
• IPI (Instant Payments)
• SWIFT (cross-border payments)
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to interpret payment rules, data formats, and regulatory guidelines.

3. Documentation & Repository Management:

• Maintain a structured document repository containing:
• Test plans
• Test cases and scenarios
• Test results and evidence
• Change logs and project updates
• Ensure traceability from requirements to test artifacts.

4. Work Allocation & Process Adherence

• Manage daily work allocation across assigned test activities.
• Ensure the team follows organizational testing processes, compliance requirements, and workplace discipline .
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the QA team.

5. Stakeholder Communication & Reporting

• Provide daily, weekly, and monthly status reports to the Test Manager and Project Manager.
• Highlight risks, delays, and quality concerns proactively.
• Participate in project meetings, walkthroughs, and defect triage discussions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–8+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in financial services or payments domain.
• Strong hands-on experience with the Cortex platform (Emcrey).
• Proven expertise in Saudi Payments systems (SADAD, SARIE, MADA, IPI, SWIFT, Bill Payments).
• Solid understanding of transaction flows, clearing & settlement processes, and ISO messaging formats.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM, Zephyr).
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
