External Job Description
As a Senior Test Engineer, you will take ownership of day-to-day test execution, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of engine and component testing activities. Reporting to the Test Principal Engineer, you will act as a critical link between engineering intent and operational execution, contributing directly to the success of our propulsion programs.
Key Responsibilities
Test Execution Leadership

Lead execution of engine and component tests in line with defined procedures and objectives

Coordinate test readiness, including setup, instrumentation, and system checks

Supervise technicians and junior engineers during testing activities

Ensure safe, efficient, and reliable test campaign execution
Test Planning Support

Support development of test procedures, methodologies, and configurations
-
Contribute to defining test requirements and acceptance criteria

Review test plans and identify risks or improvement opportunities
Data Acquisition & Analysis

Oversee data acquisition systems to ensure accurate and reliable data capture

Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, and performance insights
-
Ensure instrumentation is calibrated and data quality is maintained

Produce clear, structured reports with actionable recommendations
Test Facility & Integration

Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and controls teams for test rig setup

Lead troubleshooting of test rigs, instrumentation, and systems
-
Ensure overall readiness and efficiency of the test facility
Safety & Compliance

Enforce strict adherence to HSE standards during all testing activities

Participate in risk assessments and safety reviews

Ensure compliance with internal and industry standards
Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate records of test setups, procedures, and results

Provide regular updates to the Test Principal Engineer

Ensure full traceability and integrity of test data
Continuous Improvement & Mentorship

Identify and implement improvements in testing processes and workflows

Support and mentor junior engineers and technicians

Contribute to building best practices within the test and validation team
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
-
5–8 years of experience in testing, validation, or engineering operations
-
Strong hands-on experience with engine testing, test rigs, or complex mechanical systems
-
Solid understanding of data acquisition systems and instrumentation
-
Proven ability to analyze technical data and produce detailed reports

Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities

Knowledge of safety practices in high-risk testing environments
-
Ability to lead test execution and coordinate cross-functional teams
