Senior Test Manager - German Speaking

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Manager with strong leadership capabilities and fluency in German to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate has deep experience managing end‑to‑end testing cycles, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record working with cross‑functional and multilingual teams. You will drive quality strategy, manage testing teams, and collaborate closely with our German-speaking clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and manage the overall test strategy, scope, and timelines.
• Lead end‑to‑end testing activities: system, integration, regression, UAT, and performance.
• Coordinate testing teams and ensure efficient task allocation and execution.
• Oversee defect management, including triage, prioritization, and closure.
• Act as the main testing contact for German‑speaking stakeholders and project teams.
• Prepare and deliver clear testing status updates, reports, and risks.
• Ensure adherence to testing standards, processes, and best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across testing activities.
• Support test automation adoption and tool optimization where applicable.

Qualifications & Skills

Must-Have:

• 6+ years of experience in software testing, including at least 3 years in test management or leading QA teams.
• Fluency in German for communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
• Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM, TestRail).
• Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary, cross‑location teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and leadership skills.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience working with European or German clients.
• Familiarity with automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Tosca, etc.).
• ISTQB Certification (Foundation or Advanced).
• Experience in regulated industries (finance, banking, insurance, telecom).
