As part of our expansion, we are establishing a new technology team from the ground up and are seeking a highly experienced Senior Backend Developer / Tech Lead to drive this initiative.

Role Overview

As the Senior Developer and Founding Tech Team Lead, you will take ownership of the backend architecture of our trading and market data systems. This role is heavily backend-focused, with minimal frontend development requirements at this stage.

You will work extensively on trading systems, financial APIs, market data integrations, and generative AI-powered applications, while also leading and mentoring a high-performing development team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and scale robust backend systems using Python as the primary language.
• Build and maintain trading systems, market data pipelines, and financial API integrations.
• Lead the creation of a new tech team: recruit, mentor, and guide junior developers.
• Integrate generative AI technologies (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude) for intelligent automation, analytics, and developer tooling.
• Optimize performance and reliability for mission-critical financial systems.
• Ensure security, compliance, and code quality, especially in regulated fintech environments.
• Collaborate with business and leadership teams to align technical solutions with company goals, including future relocation planning to Dubai.
• Work independently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, driving projects from concept to production.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience, with 5+ years in Python.
• Hands-on production experience with trading systems or market data platforms.
• Proven experience integrating OpenAI and Anthropic (Claude) APIs in real-world applications.
• Strong backend engineering expertise; frontend experience is optional and minimal.
• Experience leading projects, mentoring developers, or building engineering teams.
• Solid understanding of financial markets, trading workflows, and execution systems.
• Familiarity with MetaTrader integrations is a strong plus.
• Cloud experience, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of fintech compliance, trade reporting, and data security standards.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
