Senior Traffic Engineer

The Senior Traffic Engineer will oversee the preparation and delivery of Traffic Impact Studies (TIS), access management reviews, intersection analysis, and traffic operations assessments. This role requires solid technical knowledge, experience with Dubai RTA and UAE authority guidelines, and the ability to manage multiple projects and junior staff effectively.

Responsibilities

· Project Leadership

o Lead the development of Traffic Impact Studies, feasibility assessments, and transport planning reports in line with Dubai RTA and other local authority standards.

o Manage the full project cycle from data collection to final report submission.

· Technical Analysis

o Conduct intersection capacity analysis using software such as SYNCHRO, SIDRA, PTV VISSIM, and related tools.

o Review and validate traffic modelling results (in coordination with transport modelers).

o Develop trip generation, distribution, and assignment models based on land use data.

· Stakeholder Coordination

o Liaise with clients, developers, architects, and approving authorities to ensure smooth project progress.

o Present project findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

· Quality Control & Compliance

o Ensure deliverables comply with RTA Access Management Guidelines, TIS requirements, and other regulatory frameworks.

o Review and approve technical outputs prepared by junior engineers and consultants.

· Mentorship & Team Support

o Guide junior engineers and provide technical training as required.

o Promote best practices and knowledge sharing within the team.
