Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:
- Provide line management and mentorship of junior members of the team ensuring the team s work is regularly reviewed prior to submission
- Prepare technical and financial bids and engage in business development activity
- Assume the role of Project Manager on medium-sized projects taking responsibility for the successful delivery
- Remain point of contact for clients, addressing needs and queries on assigned projects
- Manage project finances (including invoicing and contract/commercial management), tracking progress and budget on assigned projects ensuring commercial success
- Provide management and direction of sub-consultants on assigned projects
- Demonstrate the ability to use initiative to solve the majority of problems that could occur on a project
- Develop an understanding of Mott MacDonald methodologies and project management principles, and implement on live projects
- Skills in managing own time and the time of others, setting priorities for others in order to meet deadlines
- Assist with resource management for the team, ensuring projects are properly resourced and team members are sufficiently occupied
