Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Transportation Engineer to support transportation planning, traffic engineering, and highway design projects in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in transportation engineering and strong technical expertise in traffic modelling, transportation management systems, and highway design.

Key Requirements

• B.S. in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Transportation Engineering
• M.S. in Transportation Engineering preferred
• Professional Engineering License preferred
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in:
• Transportation Planning
• Traffic Engineering
• Highway Design
• Transportation Management
• Strong experience in transportation and traffic modelling
• Proficiency in relevant transportation software/programs, including:
• TransCAD
• VISSIM
• SUMO
• Invarion
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working on major transportation and infrastructure projects
• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Must be currently available in Qatar
• Freelance visa holders preferred
• Immediate joiners preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support transportation planning and traffic engineering studies
• Develop and review transportation and traffic models
• Perform traffic analysis, forecasting, and transportation assessments
• Support highway and transportation infrastructure design activities
• Utilize transportation modelling software such as TransCAD, VISSIM, SUMO, and Invarion
• Evaluate transportation networks and identify capacity and operational issues
• Develop transportation management and traffic improvement strategies
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, consultants, authorities, and project stakeholders
• Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, drawings, and design documentation
• Provide technical guidance to project teams on transportation and traffic-related matters
