Senior Dispatch Manager / Load Planner – 2nd Shift (1500–0000)

Location: Bolingbrook, IL (In-Office)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM (occasional weekend support)
Compensation: $60,000–$75,000 annually (based on experience)

About the Role

Geneva Transport LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Dispatch Manager / Load Planner to lead second-shift operations in our Bolingbrook office.

This is a key position within our operations team. The individual in this role will be responsible for executing the daily plan, supporting drivers and customers, and ensuring freight moves efficiently and on time.

We are looking for a seasoned professional who understands dispatching at a high level and takes pride in running an organized, productive board.

Experience Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on dispatching experience
• Proven experience dispatching intermodal, refrigerated, and dry van freight
• Experience with load planning and route optimization
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations and Hours of Service planning
• Experience managing multiple drivers in a fast-paced environment
• Working knowledge of TMS systems and GPS tracking platforms

This role requires someone who can operate independently, make informed decisions, and confidently manage the shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispatch and manage intermodal, reefer, and dry van loads
• Build and execute daily load plans based on capacity and customer demand
• Communicate consistently with drivers regarding load details and updates
• Coordinate with customers and brokers to ensure service expectations are met
• Update TMS, trailer boards, and operational systems in real time
• Monitor load progress and proactively address service risks
• Plan around HOS limitations and operational constraints
• Ensure smooth handoff between shifts
