Senior UI/UX Designer

We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced UX/UI Designer professional to join our team. This individual will lead interface and experience design for Brio’s growing portfolio of smart water products, creating intuitive, elegant, and human-centered interactions that define the Brio experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the UI/UX design process for physical products, from concept through production, including user research, interface architecture, prototyping, and validation.
• Conduct user research and translate findings into actionable design solutions that improve both functional usability and emotional engagement.
• Create personas, journey maps, and interaction flows to visualize how users interact with Brio products.
• Design touch interfaces, digital panels, and hybrid hardware interactions for countertop and freestanding appliances.
• Translate complex product functionality (filter status, temperature control, ice cycles, connectivity, etc.) into intuitive visual feedback and microinteractions.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to create seamless UI/UX for touchscreens, mobile apps, and product ecosystems.
• Develop design systems, prototypes, and usability tests that reflect Brio’s premium brand identity.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with industrial design, engineering, and marketing teams to align usability, manufacturability, and aesthetic goals.
• Establish and evolve Brio’s design system for product interfaces, defining icons, typography, animations, and behavior patterns across multiple hardware platforms.
• Advocate for the user throughout the full development cycle, ensuring that user needs remain central to every design decision.
• Deliver detailed specifications and assets (layouts, states, icon sets, transitions, fonts, pixel grids, and resolution maps) ready for firmware implementation.
• Stay informed on emerging UX/UI trends in connected home appliances to help shape future product roadmaps.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in UX/UI Design, Industrial Design, Human Factors, or Interaction Design.
• 5+ years of experience designing interfaces for consumer electronics, appliances, or IoT products.
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or equivalent prototyping tools.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, interface ergonomics, and embedded UX constraints.
• Strong visual design sensibility with mastery of color, hierarchy, and typography for small screens.
• Experience collaborating with engineering and firmware teams to bring UI designs to life in physical products.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present design rationale and system thinking clearly.
• Highly detail-oriented and organized, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines with precision.
• A portfolio that clearly demonstrates UI/UX work for physical or connected products and showcases the design process from concept to execution.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
