What You'll Do:
Our Digital Experience team is looking for a seasoned, collaborative, evidence-driven Sr UX Designer to join the team creating our next version of
avalara.com. You’ll be part of the Digital Experience Design (DXD) team, joining a team of UX Researchers, UX Designers, and Digital Producers, working closely with product managers and engineers to design digital experiences from conception to completion. This is a hybrid role, with a mixture of onsite and remote work.
What Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Design the architecture, interface, and interaction flow of services and experiences for web experiences, leveraging existing design patterns and design system elements, while helping move design forward by identifying new design patterns as needed.

Leverage use cases and personas to create user journey maps, conceptual diagrams, wireframes, mockups and prototypes, ultimately delivering a comprehensive set of design requirements for engineers.

Build relationships and communicate effectively with local and remote cross-functional teams. Present designs to cross functional leadership, internal stakeholders and engineering teams, explaining design decisions.

Utilize core tools such as Figma, Confluence, Miro and Jira to produce work products.
What You'll Need to be Successful:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

5+ years of experience as a UX Designer, preferably in B2B or product UX

Experience collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, Researchers, Engineers, and internal business partners throughout the design process.

Experience and passion for creating design consistency across different use cases and experiences.
