Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance & Value Creation

Own and enhance the five-year strategic financial model, annual budget, and rolling forecast models aligned to the company’s SaaS strategy, commercial targets, and PE value-creation plan.

Drive enterprise-level financial performance management including visibility into unit economics, cohort performance, CAC payback, LTV, and gross margin improvement.

Own P&L, balance sheet, and cash management with particular focus on headcount costs (70% of total expenses) and software/technology spend, ensuring capital-efficient growth and disciplined resource allocation.
First 3-6 Months Priorities

Enhance financial reporting and analytics to provide better business insights.

Automate the budgeting process and improve integration between systems.

Take ownership of the five-year strategic plan from the PE firm.

Coordinate and elevate the finance function to relieve the COO of day-to-day financial oversight.

Build out FP&A capabilities - systems and processes.
Qualifications
-
15-20+ years of progressive finance experience with 5+ years in a senior leadership role (VP/SVP Finance).

Proven experience at companies with minimum $50M+ revenue scale, with complexity similar to company dual business model.

Strong B2B SaaS experience required - must deeply understand subscription technology environments with recurring revenue models, not just general corporate finance.

Demonstrated ownership of company-level FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting in a growth-stage or PE-backed business.

Deep understanding of SaaS economics including ARR, NRR, churn/cohort analysis, CAC/LTV, gross margin levers, and revenue recognition for subscription products.

Strong technical accounting foundation (US GAAP) with experience managing audits, tax (including international tax), controls, and compliance.

Proven success building and scaling Finance organizations in the $50M–$100M+ revenue range.

Experience partnering across HR, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, Operations; comfortable balancing growth and profitability trade-offs.

Board-facing communication skills with demonstrated experience preparing investor materials and performance narratives for PE sponsors.

Experience successfully navigating and integrating acquisitions from legal to financial perspectives.

Prior experience in media, digital publishing, AdTech or MarTech is a strong plus but not required.

MBA strongly preferred over CPA - business degree and strategic orientation valued over pure accounting background.
