The YMCA of South Florida is seeking to hire a dynamic, collaborative, high-performing, energetic individual as SVP of Marketing. Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Senior Vice President of Marketing will oversee all Marketing strategies to drive customer engagement, acquisition, and retention across the organization. The individual in this role will develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth to exceed business goals. This individual is responsible for creating cohesive marketing plans, including communications, public relations, creative strategy, and execution. The SVP directly manages communications strategies that protect, promote, enhance, and tell the story of the brand, including direction and positioning of the organization and its C-Suite across web, media, and public relations.
Position Profile
This high-energy executive will be responsible for market research, managing marketing budgets and teams, overseeing digital and traditional advertising campaigns, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with Senior leadership to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives. Specific responsibilities for this role include the following:
Develops and implements comprehensive, data-driven marketing strategies and initiatives aligned with corporate goals and objectives that advance brand identity; broaden awareness of its programs and priorities; and increase the visibility of its programs across key stakeholder audiences.
Mission Advancement: Reinforces the Y’s values within the organization and the community. Effectively communicates the benefits and impact of the YMCA’s efforts for all stakeholders. Implement effective systems to develop volunteers at program and fundraising leadership levels.
Collaboration: Develops strategies to ensure staff and volunteers reflect the community. Builds and nurtures strategic relationships to enhance support for the YMCA. Communicates for influence to attain buy-in and support of goals. Provides tools and resources for the development of others.
Operational Effectiveness: Integrates multiple thinking processes to make decisions. Involves members and community in the development of programs and activities. Ensures execution of plans. Institutes sound accounting procedures and financial controls. Assigns clear accountability and ensures continuous improvement.
Personal Growth: Fosters a learning environment embracing diverse abilities and approaches. Creates a sense of urgency and positive tension to support change. Anticipates challenges that can sidetrack or derail growth and personal learning. Has functional and technical knowledge and skills required to perform well; uses best practices and demonstrates up-to-date knowledge and skills in technology.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or a related field.
