Role Overview

We’re seeking a Senior Video Editor with strong storytelling abilities, proven editing expertise, and experience in creating high-quality content beyond just reels. You will play a key role in shaping the visual storytelling of NxtWave’s content across multiple platforms. The right candidate brings creativity, technical skills, and the ability to maintain the brand’s benchmark for quality.

Key Responsibilities

Video Editing & Storytelling

• Edit raw footage into compelling stories for platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter.
• Go beyond reels—deliver long-form edits, campaigns, event videos, and high-quality brand films.
• Apply advanced editing techniques: color correction, sound design, seamless transitions, and visual effects.
• Ensure alignment with brand tone, visual style, and messaging.

Project & Team Management

• Lead multiple projects simultaneously from concept to delivery.
• Collaborate with directors, producers, and creative teams to ensure timelines are met.
• Maintain organized project workflows and archives.

Creative Development

• Contribute ideas for new video formats, campaigns, and storytelling approaches.
• Provide creative feedback during brainstorming and production stages.

Mentorship

• Guide and mentor junior editors, sharing best practices.
• Conduct training sessions on editing techniques, new tools, and workflows.

Technical Excellence

• Work on industry-standard software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during post-production.
• Stay updated on new editing technologies and trends.

Quality Control

• Ensure every output meets NxtWave’s high standards for brand quality.
• Maintain consistency in editing style and storytelling across projects.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Video Editing, Film, Media, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional video editing experience.
• Strong portfolio showcasing diverse work (long-form edits, campaigns, brand storytelling—not just reels).
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Excellent storytelling skills, attention to detail, and creative mindset.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Good-to-Have

• Experience with motion graphics and animation.
• Knowledge of sound design, mixing, and audio production.
• Proficiency in multiple languages (Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, etc.).
• Certification in color correction or advanced editing techniques.
• Experience working with production houses, creative agencies, or corporate brands.

Work Environment

• Location: Hyderabad (Work from Office)
• 6-day work week (Monday–Saturday), 9:30 AM – 7:00 PM
