Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior VOD Specialist to take full ownership of our YouTube and digital video-on-demand operations. This role goes beyond execution and focuses on strategic channel growth, advanced optimization, governance, and performance leadership.

You will be responsible for shaping content distribution strategy, improving audience retention, maximizing monetization opportunities, and ensuring compliance with platform policies. You will also act as a lead resource for VOD operations, guiding workflows, setting best practices, and supporting junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take end-to-end ownership of YouTube/VOD channel operations, including publishing strategy, scheduling, and content lifecycle management.
• Develop and implement advanced growth and optimization strategies to improve reach, watch time, retention, and subscriber growth.
• Lead metadata strategy (titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, playlists) aligned with SEO and platform algorithms.
• Ensure strict compliance with copyright laws, content licensing, and YouTube policies, proactively mitigating risks.
• Monitor, analyze, and interpret performance data using YouTube Analytics and other tools to drive strategic decisions.
• Identify content trends, audience behavior patterns, and growth opportunities across digital platforms.
• Collaborate closely with production, editorial, design, and marketing teams to align content with performance goals.
• Support workflow improvement and introduce best practices for VOD operations and publishing efficiency.
• Mentor and guide junior VOD executives, ensuring quality control and process adherence.
• Contribute to monetization strategy including ad revenue optimization and content eligibility improvements.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies, Marketing, Communications, or a related field from a reputable institution.
• 4–7 years of hands-on experience in YouTube channel management, digital video operations, or VOD platforms.
• Strong command of YouTube ecosystem, including algorithm behavior, monetization policies, copyright systems, and SEO.
• Proven track record of driving channel growth and improving content performance metrics.
• Advanced understanding of YouTube Analytics and data-driven decision making.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple content pipelines.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

Bonus Skills:

• Intermediate video editing or familiarity with tools like Premiere Pro / Final Cut Pro.
• Experience with digital content strategy, social media growth, or OTT/VOD platforms.
• Understanding of AI-driven content optimization tools and workflows.
