Senior Waiter / Team Leader

We are seeking a professional, customer-focused Senior Waiter who is responsible for ensuring diners have a positive experience at food establishments by exhibiting excellent customer service. The Senior Waiter coordinates and supervises the activities of the waitstaff to ensure exceptional service delivery. Acting as a bridge between restaurant management and front-line staff, the senior waiter arranges the dining experience from start to finish.

Key duties & responsibilities

• Welcome guests and escort them to their tables
• Present menus, explain dishes, and recommend specials
• Take food and beverage orders, enter them into the system, and memorize details
• Prepare drinks and serve them appropriately
• Previous waitstaff experience in an upscale or fine dining environment.
• Delivering food from the kitchen to the guests
• Evaluate guest satisfaction, address feedback, and resolve complaints
• Following health code standards with regards to the handling of food
• Prepare checks, collect payments, and handle billing details
• Assist in preparing tables for dinner service
• Train junior staff, assign tasks, and monitor performance
• Coordinate shifts, manage reservations, and oversee cleanliness.

Experience & Skills

• Experience in supervising staff and 2-5 years relevant experience in a similar position
• Understanding of food safety procedures
• Maintaining safety standards and portion sizes
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems
• Being dependable and customer-oriented
• Effective communication with guests and staff
• Handling complaints professionally
• Understanding high-end service expectations
• Ensuring quality service for both in-person and to-go orders
• Adapting to changing situations
• Balancing cash drawers and handling payments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
