Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse & Asset Control Specialist with a strong background in the mining, construction, or crushing industry. The candidate must be knowledgeable in technical materials such as steel, bearings, pulleys, electric motors, bushes, and various crusher-related components. Experience with cabin/binning (Kanban) systems is mandatory. This role requires complete responsibility for warehouse operations, stock control, asset list maintenance, documentation, ERP updates, and team supervision.
Key Responsibilities1. Warehouse Operations
- Oversee full warehouse operations including inbound, outbound, loading, unloading, and material storage.
- Verify all incoming materials for correct quantity and specifications.
- Generate and process Delivery Notes, issue slips, GRNs, and all warehouse-related documents.
- Ensure accurate storage, labeling, and identification using a cabin/binning system.
- Lead warehouse staff, assign duties, and ensure compliance with warehouse SOPs.
2. Material & Inventory Management
- Implement proper labelling and categorization of items to streamline inventory tracking.
- Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation.
- Identify and resolve stock discrepancies and maintain accurate stock consumption reports.
- Ensure physical stock matches ERP records at all times.
- Handle and identify technical items such as steel parts, bearings, pulleys, motors, bushes, and crusher components.
3. Asset List Maintenance (Rental Division)
- Work closely with the Logistics Coordinator and Maintenance Team to maintain the asset list.
- Record new assets and equipment acquisitions, including serial numbers, specifications, condition, and documentation.
- Track the movement of rental assets: rentals, returns, transfers, and maintenance status.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of asset information across all departments.
- Update ERP systems (Tally & Zoho) with asset changes and movement logs.
4. Warehouse Organization & Cleanliness
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow proper storage practices for heavy machinery and waste processing materials.
- Ensure inventory is stacked, arranged, and segregated to maximize space and improve operational efficiency.
- Enforce safety protocols for staff, equipment, and material handling.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain all warehouse documentation, including receiving reports, inventory records, asset updates, GRNs, and stock movement logs.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on:
- Inventory levels
- Asset utilization
- Warehouse performance
- Work with management to analyze data and identify process improvements.
6. Collaboration & Communication
- Coordinate with the Logistics Coordinator, Maintenance Team, Procurement, and Operations to fulfill material and machinery requirements.
- Communicate inventory issues, shortages, or discrepancies promptly to relevant departments.
- Facilitate smooth handovers of equipment to the rental division and other departments.
- Ensure any incorrect, damaged, or mismatched items are identified and acted upon immediately.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 5 years UAE experience in a workshop or warehouse environment, preferably in structural fabrication, heavy machinery, mining, or crushing industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of materials such as steel, bearings, pulleys, electric motors, bushes, and industrial components.
- Mandatory experience with cabin/binning (Kanban) systems.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP and Zoho.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate forklifts and warehouse equipment (if required).
- Basic computer skills for data entry, documentation, and report generation.
- Effective communication and team leadership skills.
- Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy machinery and materials.
