Senior Water and Drainage Networks Engineer

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

We are seeking an experienced Senior Water and Drainage Networks Engineer to join our PMC project team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the design review, supervision, and management of large-scale water supply and drainage infrastructure projects. This role involves coordinating with design consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met in compliance with international standards and client requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and supervise the design and construction of water supply and drainage networks, pumping stations, and related infrastructure.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight on water distribution, sewerage, and stormwater systems.
  • Conduct design reviews to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Oversee construction activities, ensuring quality control, health & safety compliance, and timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, structural, MEP) for integration of water and drainage systems.
  • Review technical submittals, shop drawings, and material approvals.
  • Conduct site inspections and prepare progress and technical reports for the client.
  • Provide solutions for design conflicts, engineering challenges, and construction issues.
  • Support project management team in risk assessment, cost control, and schedule monitoring.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • 15+ years of experience in water supply, sewerage, and stormwater drainage projects, with at least 5 years in a PMC/consultancy environment.
  • Strong knowledge of international standards (BS, EN, AWWA, ASTM, etc.).
  • Experience in design review, site supervision, and project execution for large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • STP (Sewage Treatment Plants), WTP (Wastewater Treatment Plants), and RO (Reverse Osmosis) systems.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic modeling software (e.g., WaterCAD, SewerCAD, EPANET, InfoWorks) is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
  • Professional certification (e.g., PMP, Chartered Engineer, PE) preferred.
