Senior WordPress Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior WordPress Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep expertise in modern WordPress development, strong experience working in cloud-based environments, and the ability to solve complex technical challenges. This role requires advanced technical proficiency, close collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a strong commitment to delivering secure, high-performance, and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain WordPress applications, including custom themes and plugins, following modern development standards and best practices.
• Conduct comprehensive code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, scalability, and adherence to coding standards.
• Manage and support application deployments using Docker and CI/CD pipelines, in collaboration with the DevOps team.
• Perform advanced debugging and troubleshooting across WordPress codebases and Microsoft Azure cloud resources (e.g., App Service, Virtual Machines, API Management).
• Integrate and consume REST APIs, and work with Composer and modern PHP development workflows.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior and mid-level developers within the WordPress team.
• Ensure optimal performance, security, reliability, and scalability across all WordPress applications.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in WordPress development, including custom themes, plugins, and complex application builds.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and RESTful API integration.
• Proven experience working with Docker and environments supported by CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid knowledge of Composer and modern PHP development practices.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud services and related troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated ability to debug and resolve complex issues across both application code and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working in cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams.
• In-depth understanding of performance optimization, security best practices, and scalability for WordPress-based systems.
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage.
