Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior WordPress Developer located in Karachi. The Senior WordPress Developer will be responsible for designing and developing WordPress websites from conception to completion. Day-to-day tasks will include back-end web development, front-end development, responsive web design, and ensuring overall web design quality. The candidate will work closely with other team members to deliver excellent web development services and ensure that websites are fully functional and visually appealing.

If you have a strong background in custom WordPress development, including plugin development, and hands-on expertise with Elementor and other page builders, we’d love to hear from you.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins
• Translate UI/UX designs into responsive, high-quality code
• Build scalable, high-performance websites
• Customize and extend WordPress functionality based on project needs
• Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO
• Work with Elementor and other page builders to create dynamic, user-friendly layouts
• Integrate third-party APIs and troubleshoot integration and technical issues
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver outstanding digital experiences
• Stay up to date on the latest industry trends and WordPress best practices

Qualifications

• Back-End Web Development skills
• Front-End Development skills
• Responsive Web Design and overall, Web Design skills
• Experience with Web Development, API integrations, CRM integrations
• Custom WordPress websites, custom plugin/functionality development
• Proficiency in WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery and PHP
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience with custom theme and plugin development
• Experience with website optimization, maintenance and its audit experience
• Can work on all WordPress builders and custom themes as well
• Understanding of website architecture, WordPress architecture, hooks, APIs and aesthetics
• Familiarity with Git, cPanel, and hosting environments
• Experience with Elementor, WPBakery, or other builders (preferred)
• Good Effective communication & team collaboration skills, English communication is must
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Can lead junior developers
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred

Bonus Points For:

• WooCommerce experience with customization
• Other CMS experience is plus (Shopify, Webflow)
• Experience with Other CMS platforms (Webflow, Wix and Sqaurespace)
• REST APIs and its integrations and headless WordPress
• Knowledge of SEO best practices
• Familiarity with modern frameworks like React or Vue (optional but appreciated)
