Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
• Build responsive, user-friendly, and high-performance web solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external systems with WordPress platforms.
• Optimize website performance, scalability, security, and SEO readiness.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across development, staging, and production environments.
• Implement and maintain website security best practices and regular updates.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate designs into functional web experiences.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
• Manage website deployments, version control, and release activities.
• Maintain technical documentation and development guidelines.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, designers, and project teams to define and deliver solutions.
• Participate in project planning, effort estimation, and technical decision-making.
• Support testing, UAT, and post-launch activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and coding standards.

Technical Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in WordPress development.
• Strong expertise in PHP, WordPress Core, and WordPress architecture.
• Experience developing custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Strong knowledge of responsive web design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with MySQL database design, optimization, and management.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and third-party system integrations.
• Experience with page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg.
• Strong understanding of WordPress security best practices and performance optimization.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with hosting environments, server management, and deployment processes.
• Understanding of SEO principles and website accessibility standards.
• Experience working with WooCommerce and eCommerce solutions is a plus.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and cloud hosting platforms is an advantage.
